The character is charming, however the excitement tends to invite the social and churchly authorities whose powerful presence tends to encumber free spirits.
As Casanova sees himself in trouble for life due to Venetian Inquisiton, he decides that he has to close the chapter on his numerous escapades. He decides to do this by marrying a woman named Victoria. The decision seems even more rational due to the fact that she has a stake in a different love and, as a result, she seems easily available, plus, marrying her also helps him save face. However, circumstances don’t make it as easy as this and whatever reputation he has, becomes even more tarnished.
Francesca Bruni, Casanova’s love interest, who also happens to a disgustingly idealistic and seemingly out of the Casanova’s personal box, fiercely opposes the relational idea to his love interest, and mocks his arrogance. While she is involved as a lover of a rich and humorously foolish Paprizzio, who also happens to be the victim of Oliver’s forced brilliant performance, Casanova decides to do what he does best, lie. However, in this case, he decides to take it a bit far by putting on the semblance of Paprizzio.
Casanova manages to discover the inner side of his character, and in this case, manages to hit the nail on the head.
